Investment advisors need to be well-connected and must be able to put the information relevant to investment decisions in the right context. Consequently, we have enriched our portfolio reporting and PrimeTerminal solutions with new functionalities designed to make it even easier to filter and evaluate a wide range of data sources.

Products: New PrimeTerminal Version boosts Usability

The new PrimeTerminal 2.7 release offers numerous user-focused additions designed to make configuring the interface even easier than before.

Many user suggestions were implemented, with the intent to help further boost PrimeTerminal’s performance and efficiency. Several new menus and preset functions provide even more convenience and flexibility in setting up user-defined views and lists.

The new transaction view is a key addition to the terminal’s portfolio functionalities. Investment advisors and wealth managers can use this function to filter all transactions – within a portfolio or individually – by position, security type, and date, and thus further optimise their consulting processes.

PrimeTerminal’s content range now also includes new exchange data and fund histories supplied by MorningstarTM. The Times & Sales overview now displays OMX broker codes, as well as real-time data from PLUS Markets and the Oslo Stock Exchange that can be visualised as Full Order Book.

The service package for the new version also includes an entitlement overview designed to show users which content and functionalities they have access to.

Products: New Features designed for efficient Portfolio Management

New features have been added to Interactive Data’s portfolio solutions, designed to further streamline the management of virtual investment portfolios.

For example, a portfolio can now be compared with an investment fund’s key figure profile. New scenario analyses and shock simulations are designed to allow the effects of stock index fluctuations on portfolio values to be simulated. To ease the management of virtual portfolios and obtain a realistic picture of their performance, various corporate actions such as splits, dividends, interest payments and distributions can now be processed automatically. Additional interactive elements, such as ratings and commentaries, help to place this information in relevant context, with the intent of further improving data quality.

These enhancements are designed to help meet the demands from investment consultants and their clients regarding portfolio solutions in the Wealth Management segment. An additional stripped-down item-based “lite” version of the portfolio solution is designed to facilitate the rapid and convenient generation of single portfolio statements and watch lists without having to invoke the complex transaction-based extended portfolio application.
