Dear Sir or Madam,
Volatility in the global financial markets,
combined with new regulations and directives, have led financial
firms and their investors to focus even more firmly on the value
of their holdings, and on assessing risk and understanding liquidity.
We’ve seen a growing demand for independent evaluated pricing,
especially for the more thinly traded fixed income securities, and
for more frequent valuations as tools to help investors understand
their holdings. The use of multiple sources of valuations is already
common practice both in the US and the UK, with the rest of Europe
now moving to adopt this as best practice.
Interactive Data
has recently expanded the breadth and depth of coverage available
via PrimeTerminal, offering access to independent evaluated prices for 2.8 million
fixed income investment products worldwide, provided daily by Interactive Data
Pricing and Reference Data.
We have also enhanced the functionality
of PrimeTerminal by launching a companion mobile solution for BlackBerry
devices, helping professionals to keep in touch with the financial
markets when they are on the move.
Please find more information
on these topics and other news in the January 2010 issue of Compass.
Sincerely, Carsten Dirks
Managing Director Interactive

New German Website to support local
Client base |
|
|
Interactive Data has launched a German language
website at www.interactivedata.de.
It is designed to provide local language support to German-speaking
clients.
The German content initially includes corporate
information and presents the company’s capabilities in the
Web-based
Solutions and Desktop Solutions area. Additional sections of the
website will gradually be translated to German to support the marketing
of a wider range of capabilities.

|
|
|
|

Some highlights of the new German version of the website include
the Industry Insights section ("Marktthemen"), which features German
press releases, media coverage, industry event participation and
the customer magazine ‘compass’. The German website marks an important
first step towards the longer term goal of a multi-language website
to support clients in a range of languages. |

First Roundtable for Customers in Munich |
|
|
Interactive Data’s German Sales team invited
their South-German customers to join a half-day Roundtable event
themed "New Requirements for Financial Service Providers" in Munich
on 23 November, 2010.
A selected group of clients and prospects
gathered at the Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Hotel and discussed
the changing conditions financial market professionals are currently
facing. Higher transparency requirements, paired with customers
demanding a better advisory service and tighter communication, make
it necessary for financial institutes to rethink existing paths
and evaluate how to best adjust themselves to this development.
